Problems Making Calls On Your iPhone - Mobile Phone Tips

Problems making calls on your iPhone
If you are having problems making calls on your iPhone, you should:
·         First, check your signal and make sure Airplane Mode is off. To turn off Airplane Mode, click Settings and then Airplane Mode.
·         If you are still encountering problems, reset your network settings. Click Settings > General > Reset. Then, scroll down and click Reset Network Settings.
·         If you still cannot make calls, then you may need to reposition your SIM. This can be done by removing the SIM card by inserting the end of the SIM eject tool into the hole on the SIM tray. Gently remove your SIM and reposition it back in the tray. Return your tray to the iPhone and push fully to reinsert.
·         If none of the above work, you may need to restore your iPhone.

BlackBerry Trackball Getting Stuck - Mobile Phone Tips

If you have a BlackBerry with a trackball that is getting stuck, it is usually due to a build up of dust.

·         For a quick and simple fix, turn your BlackBerry face down and vigorously rub over an A4 sheet of paper.

If this does not work, try the following:

·         Use a screwdriver to remove the ring from the outside of the trackball.

·         Take out the trackball unit.

·         Run your finger along the trackball to remove any dust or residue.

·         Remove each of the four black wheels on each corner of the unit one by one. Again, remove any dust with your fingertips.

·         Wipe the copper sensor (where the trackball used to be) very gently with a dry cloth.

·         Finally, drop the trackball back and put the ring back on, with the prongs facing left, right and down.

Mobile Phone Tips

Difficulty sending/receiving emails from your iPhone

If you are using two or more devices to access the same email account, you may be experiencing lock-out issues. To stop this from happening:

  • Ensure you are not leaving your computer’s email application open and increase the interval to fetch mail on your computer and iPhone.
  • To change this setting on your iPhone, click Settings > Mail, contacts, calendar > Fetch New Data.

If you are still having problems sending and receiving emails, you may need to check your SMTP settings.

·         Click Settings > Mail, contacts, calendar.

·         Under Accounts, click the account you’re trying to use.

·         Click the SMTP server. Select On on the On/Off slider.

·         Return to the SMTP screen. If additional items are listed under other SMTP servers, turn those on as well.

If this still has not solved the issue, then restart your iPhone or take it to an Apple store.
